Luke Reinbold was hired by the Sheriff’s Office in October of 2006 as a part-time Correction Officer and became a permanent employee in 2007. Officer Reinbold attended and successfully completed over 170 hours of Correction Officer Basic training sponsored by the New York State Commission of Correction and the Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS).
Officer Reinbold has been trained and is proficient as an Inmate Housing Unit Officer, Transport Officer, Inmate Commissary Officer and Inmate Visitation Officer. He was also selected as a member of the Jail’s Correctional Emergency Response Team (CERT) that trains and is used for critical incidents and emergencies.
Officer Reinbold has completed hundreds of hours of training, including but not limited to:
- Basic Course for Peace Officers with Weapons
- Basic Training for Correction Officers
- Chemical Agents certification
- Correctional Emergency Response Team (CERT) member
- Multiple CERT trainings
- AED / First Aid trained
- OSHA PESH
- Firearms recertification
- Defensive Driving
- Ethics and Professionalism
- Use of Force
