Caregiver Resource Center

Located at 3 East Pulteney Square, Bath NY 14810-1510
Serving caregivers of the elderly and grandparents raising grandchildren. Established in 1990, the CRC offers information and assistance, as well as emotional and educational support for those who are caregivers on a full time, part time, long-term or short-term basis. Caregiver - Alzheimer's Disease Support

A variety of support groups are offered throughout Steuben County addressing the needs of caregivers, friends and families of Alzheimer's victims, and adult children who are caring for their aging parents. The resources of the Rochester Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association are available through  these support groups.

Community Seminars

Workshops on caregiver issues are presented throughout  the year in Bath, Corning, Hornell and Wayland.


Counseling

Individual counseling, as well as family meetings, are available  to assist with the many challenges of caregiving  and supporting those who are aging.

Library

Located within the CRC in the Bath office, this caregiver library offers books, videotapes, and reference materials available to the public on loan basis.

Respite

Temporary relief for the caregiver is available on a limited basis  through contracts with community agencies providing  in-home services and adult day services.

At Risk Older Driver Program 

Assistance is available to individuals who have concerns about the at-risk older driver. Counseling information and referrals can make addressing this, many-times difficult issue, easier for older drivers and concerned citizens.

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Program

The Caregiver Resource Center offers support, learning seminars, and intergenerational programs for grandparents (and relatives raising relatives). A resource guide is available to assist relative caregivers with financial, legal and medical issues. Contact the CRC to receive your copy at no cost.
