Some important items for you and your family to remember when confronted with severe weather are:

  • Learn what to do when weather watches and warnings are posted for your area.
  • Create a plan with your family
  • Choose a out-of-the area friend or family member to call for a check-in contact in case members of the family become separated during a disaster.
  • Keep a disaster supply kit filled with items which may be needed during a disaster.
