Youth Service Worker Award
  • Purpose: To annually recognize one youth service worker that has done an outstanding job assisting youth.

  • Eligibility: A “line-worker”, who provides direct service to Steuben County Youth.  The nominated individual must be a current employee with a positive "track record".  Ideally, a career youth service worker, educator, etc. – one who is committed to youth!

  • Nominating: The individual may be nominated by any person familiar with the individuals work.  There is no limit to the number of nominations Please, no family members.  The attached nomination form must be used.

  • Selection: A finalist will be selected by a committee of the Steuben County Youth Board. Selection will be based on the person’s actual deeds, performance and impact.

  • Recognition: The finalist will be announced at the Annual Dinner meeting (mid-January). At that time, the finalist will receive special recognition and a memorable gift.

  • Submissions: Use the attached form.  Must be typed.  Electronic submissions are acceptable and highly encouraged.  Available on the Web:  http://steubencony.org , then click on Youth Bureau, scroll down to Youth Service Worker, click on application.

  • Deadline: All nominations must be received by the Steuben County Youth Bureau no later than January 2.
